Mutual Funds

Mutual funds are regulated investment companies that invest money on behalf of individuals and institutions. These companies generally invest in one or more types of securities like stocks, bonds and short-term money market securities. Investors are called shareholders, and mutual fund investments offer several advantages:

  • Funds are managed by experienced professionals.
  • Investment diversification helps offset risks.
  • Holdings remain liquid without significant penalties.
  • Convenient services like automatic investing and withdrawal programs are included.

As with all securities, mutual funds are subject to market volatility and involve a risk of loss, including a loss of principal.  Mutual funds are offered by Horace Mann Investors, Inc., member FINRA / SIPC. Horace Mann Investors, Inc. is located at #1 Horace Mann Plaza, Springfield, IL 62715. You should read the prospectus carefully and consider the investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses carefully before you invest or send money. The prospectus will provide complete information about these subjects. To obtain a prospectus contact your Horace Mann Representative.
