Last fall, Horace Mann donated more than $50,000 in funding through our DonorsChoose.org campaign, The Classroom Project. This spring, we’re doing it again with The Classroom Project II.

How does it work?

During the promotion, public school teachers will be eligible to receive funding from Horace Mann for their DonorsChoose.org projects. To qualify, teachers must: 

• have an account on DonorsChoose.org and post a project;
• “like” Horace Mann’s Facebook page; and
• post their project number on our special “The Horace Mann Classroom Project” page on Facebook.
  

Each Wednesday beginning Apr. 4 – and for the next seven consecutive Wednesdays through May 23 – DonorsChoose.org will randomly select projects to fund with Horace Mann‘s weekly donation of $5,000. The money will complete each project’s funding if the remaining balance is less than $500. If the balance is more than $500, the project will receive $500 in funding. Horace Mann will fund at least 10 projects per week.

In addition, we’ll have two special drawings: one on Horace Mann’s birthday (May 4) and one on National Teacher Day (May 8). We’ll give away $5,000 to at least 10 projects as a result of these special drawings, as well.
